About-Me

Andrew Duong is a Melbourne based artist whose work primarily focuses on painting and influenced by both his perspective as a second generation Cambodian and his previous studies in marketing and business.

Andrew studied Visual Arts at Monash and completed his Honours in Fine Art at Monash as well. He is the cofounder of a community focused arts organisation, Connection Arts Space in Dandenong, Victoria. The vision of this organisation is ‘Art for a better world’ and aims to make art accessible for wider audiences.

The same element of accessibility is essential to Andrew’s work that aims to provide avenues for ways his work can be perceived, understood and challenged by people of all backgrounds. Through workshops he aims to provide two way engagement and spaces for collaboration. This can embody itself through painting, drawing, sound and written language.
